Dr. Browne,
I have been praying for restoration of a relationship. I gave my heart to God at a very young age and since have seen God do some miraculous things. I have prayed and fasted seeking God’s will. I had an experience a two months ago in which I received peace about this situation and was confident that God was going to restore this broken relationship. In my heart it was done. I had no more desire to pray about this need. Though I’m usually very scepticle about such matters, I honestly believe God revealed to me that he was working in this situation and I would see restoration. We have been together for three years and were to be married in August of this year. A silly argument got out of hand and caused a split. She is a christian as well but has since stop going to church and will not talk to me. I have turned this matter over to the Lord! I am confident that God will act in my behalf and will keep his promise of restoration. I love her greatly but had I not had this revelation from God I would move on with my life but I’m trying to wait on God. Can you speak to me about this matter? Thank you.

I am experiencing the same thing myself but i advice you never to give up as you actually heard from God “When God gives you a vision and darkness follows wait, never try to help God to fulfill his words”

I know it’s hard but ask God to give you the grace

Mark,

God is going to do what He said He’s going to do. Despite what it looks like. The relationship will be restored in His Timing. Occupy yourself in the meantime. Be grateful that it has been revealed to you by the Holy Spirit (who reveals all truths to us and shows us our future John 16:13)who is to be your spouse. That’s a good thing! The waiting is tough. However, it shall come to pass.

I am in the same situation. God gave me a promise about restoration of a relationship. I have been waiting 6 years….probably because I dropped the promise and detoured from the promise….but I have picked it back up. And, God, in fact, just told me today that He is going to fulfill His promise. He has not changed His mind; despite my period of unbelief.

I have been reconnected with a friend who has a testimony of the like….her relationship was absolutely dead(in the natural). The man left her and their children and married another woman….for seven years! However, God told her that he was coming back and that they were going to get married. She said “NO!!! I don’t want that man!” But God is going to do what He purposes. Six months later they were married. They have been married 20 years now. And, she knows of other women who have similar testimonies.

Wait on God. He meant exactly what He said. And He will restore that relationship. While you wait on it, occupy your time and just believe God.

God bless!
